AES has engineered and developed a one-of-a-kind marine growth removal device. Our Enclosed Cavitation Blaster (ECB) Unit cleans subsea objects and surfaces prior to an underwater inspection in lieu of dry-docking (UWILD) or other inspection.

The ECB unit uses cavitation technology to gently yet effectively remove barnacles and marine growth from soft surfaces and structures such as vessel hulls, strakes, risers, fairings and moorings, thereby reducing weight and drag. Unlike traditional 5,000 PSI or 10,000 PSI water blasters, our ECB unit is capable of cleaning subsea objects with enough force to remove barnacles and deposits, without causing damage to soft plastic or rubber surfaces.

The ECB is available for rental only and is manufactured in two sizes to suit different vehicle types.
